Hi. My name is Bob, and I’m an artoholic.

There, I’ve said it. It’s out in the open: I’m addicted to art.

I just thought you should know that I have this need, this, uh,
compulsion, to make good art. Any kind of art — design, illustration, copy writing — it’s all the same to me. I’m addicted, I know it, and I don’t want to stop. No Sir — no twelve-step programs for this guy.

But hey, my addiction is a
good thing, because it’s how I make my living. For over thirty years I’ve satisfied my cravings by making art for advertising, publishing and corporate use, and I just can’t wait to make some for you, too.

But enough about me, let’s talk about me.

I grew up in Southern California back in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s ... ok, ok, so I’m still working on it. Is that a crime or something? I mean, nobody’s perfect.

I was going to be an engineer, but it involved scary amounts of math and, well, lets just say that I’m still in math rehab, and let it go at that: I
still have nightmares. Along the way I discovered that people would actually pay me to make visual images, designs and write about their products and services. That seemed a lot better to me than digging ditches (not that there’s anything wrong with that), or facing scary amounts of math, so I gave it a try. It’s worked out pretty well for over thirty years now, so I think I’ll keep doing it.

C’mon, help me support my graphics habit. What have you got to lose except fear, anxiety and an addiction to Maalox?
